We just had a town-wide power cut. Lasted a few seconds. No idea why yet.

My PC is on at home. It's on a UPS so should be fine on that respect. But I hadn't gotten around to getting the network cable plugged in via the surge protector. So I'm a tad nervous. . .

In other news, I went to my first SLUG meeting yesterday - the local Linux User Group. Was actually more fun than I'd expected - it was the first time I've been able to explain a problem I'd had with my computer without getting a glazed look in return :o)
