A fair while ago, there were an unusually high number of trolls on LinuxQuestions, complaining that Linux had let them down by not being a Windows clone. Thus was born a short article in which I explained that it wasn't supposed to be.
Rather than accept the correction, the trolls threw up ever-more arguments, and so the article grew in fits & starts. It got dugg and linked from any number of other places, and has been translated into eight other languages.
Trouble is, it's not actually particularly well-written, because it grew here & there, bit by bit. It's not really targeted at any specific audience, and tends too often to sound like an elitist rant, rather than the helpful guide it was intended to be. And I pretty much had to leave it alone because of all the translated versions out there.
But I can't face leaving it in such a state. So I'm re-writing it. Not even editing it: A complete fresh start.
Hence I'm not writing so much on here right now.
Sorry about that... but you'll be the first to know when the new version's out ;o)

Hmm.. new look for twitter? I hope it gets less "Ick! Change! Put it back!" nonsense than Facebook..
