[Icon][Icon]Yay! Kill the spam-bots!

• Post categories: Omni, FOSS, Technology, My Life

You might recall a post I made a while ago, about killing spammers' bots with dynamically-generated false emails.

I made a comment about how it would be nice if somebody created a script that you could install on your own web server so you could generate your own fake emails.

Somebody did. It's called Wpoison and it's a Perl script that does exactly what I hoped for.

So, thank you, Terry, for letting me know about this one. I've installed it. If you want to see it in action, click here (Don't worry, it's safe!)
