[Icon][Icon]Million-dollar idea?

• Post categories: Omni, Health

Many people want to lose weight and get fitter.

Many people commute to their place of work on trains.

Many people who want to exercise thus spend hours every week sitting around with nothing to do.

Solution: Put extra carriages on trains and fit them out as gyms - a few jogging &rowing machines is about all you'd really need.

Hundreds/thousands of commuters get more exercise, train companies make more money, and they free up a few seats on the train as well. Plus people get to claim "I jogged from London to Birmingham yesterday"

Everybody who's heard this has said "What a great idea! I'd use it!" so there's clearly a market there.

So there you go, British Rail. Don't say I never did anything for you.

Hmm...

Would there have to be showers as well. I know that when I exercise, it takes hours for me to stop sweating - even with a shower!. This might work better on the way home from work rather then on the way to work.

These coaches would need fantastic air-fresheners too after one full stretch. :)

Hey dude, your RSS feed is not updating correctly. I use an RSS reader to keep up to date with your blog and it's been stuck on "Hacking Linux through Firewalls" for several weeks. I just thought you got lazy and stopped updating :P

Andrew, I get updates no problem at all. What feed reader do you use and what is the feed URL?

Should be working - I subscribe to my own RSS feed for this very reason, and it's updated no trouble.

Might be something to do with the backend upgrade a while back - the correct links for the RSS feed are over there in the sidebar, under "XML feeds"

Next they need to take that energy and make it the electricity for the train to run.
