The effects of drugs
We all know "drugs are bad" but it's often difficult to show people in a simple way just how badly they affect your brain.
A study performed a while ago found a simple but dramatic way of creating a graphic illustration of those effects: They gave tiny doses of several drugs to spiders, and observed how it affected the webs they subsequently span.
This video of the results is well worth watching:

In other news, at this very moment, I'm baking a saucepan full of sand in the oven. And yet, incredibly, I'm perfectly sober. Truth is stranger than fiction!

(Of course if I had wire I wouldn't be doing so but can you believe that you have to go to a hardware store to get wire? Wire! Isn't wire a staple product?)
