I put google ads onto the blog sidebar today. Purely because I'm thinking of advertising via adsense and wanted to get a better understanding of how it all works, but if you see stuff you want to click far be it from me to stop you ;o)

What's the current top relevant link that I see?

Ads? Where!? AdBlocker on the run ... In my opinion, an AdSense won't be so efficient on a blog which is visited by geeks. :P

Considering the last time there were ads on this site, I published advice on how to block them, and the posts I've written on why relying on ad revenue to pay for your website is a broken business model, you can take it as read that I'm not trying to make my fortune here :o)

I block ads with the hosts file, so I still see Google ads. They don't really bother me that much. (In fact this isn't my main computer, so I don't have my hosts file.)

Either way, I thought 'might as well', so I gave you a click.
