If you tried to get to this blog in the last 12 hours or so, you'd have seen a MySQL error.

This was because the database that this blog runs off had become corrupted.

To fix it, I had to enter the command "REPAIR TABLE"

...why it could recognise that there was corruption that it was capable of dealing with, and not just go ahead and fix it, I don't know. But now that it was told to fix itself, it has done so. So that's OK.
