Guess the word
I was in the library a while ago and I saw this book. I couldn't resist picking it up. See if you can guess what it was about:

Lichen!
I kid you not, this was a book about lichenologists. It was called The Lichen Hunters.
You should read it. It's so adrenaline-packed. There's this classic bit at the start where he talks about how this one guy borrowed a rock hammer off this woman.
I haven't been so thrilled since that book where Jane saw Spot run...
Isn't watching lichen grow slightly more boring than watching paint dry?
You have to wonder at the thought process of the guy who thought this would be a book that needed to be written...
The guy writing it, I can understand (just). But calling it a white-knuckle ride..? Nope, does not compute! :o)
