..do not mix!
Innocent start: We needed a whiteboard to keep in the kitchen to write stuff on. Like "buy milk!"
The best solution seemed to be a bit of magnetic sheeting to stick to the fridge. Then write on that.
But there's not many local sign-making shops and the ones I went to had none to spare. So I hit ebay.
And I found some of the stuff, dirt cheap. Problem solved. It's on order.
The problem is, of course, that looking for magnets on ebay finds you all kinds of other stuff...
So these neodymium magnets arrived in the post this morning. A stack of 5 button magnets about a half-inch across. In a padded envelope, well-wrapped in bubble wrap. With a list of health-and-safety advice.
The damn things are unbelievably strong! You can't pull them apart. You have to slide them a bit and then lever them away from each other. Make them repel each other and you physically can't force them together. They have nylon washers between them because they attract each other so much. I stuck them to a chunk of cast iron and was unable to pull them away, I had to slide them off again.
They made a tablecloth levitate, too.

Hmm.. new look for twitter? I hope it gets less "Ick! Change! Put it back!" nonsense than Facebook..
