It was 12 hours door-to-door but I made it in the end. Things went a lot better after I'd duly driven the 50-ish miles from the Chunnel to the Somme service stop and had a large breakfast :o)

It's the 24-hour Le Mans thing this weekend, tho, and I drive right past LM, so there were a LOT of sporty vehicles on the road with me.

It's odd that I've seen more British sports cars on the road in France than in England. It's the only place I've ever seen an Ultima being driven, and I was swarmed under by Aston Martins, TVRs, and quite a few Caterhams yesterday..

Ah well, so it goes.
