I was having a play with Drupal on my laptop to see if I could use it to replace my other RSS aggregators (Yes, I really do need two at the moment...) and I got an error in the backend that it couldn't fetch the feeds: "HTTP request status fails"
Long story short, it's because Vista's IPv6 stack isn't up to much (shock horror) and the best thing to do is relapse to IPv4, which you do by opening c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in Vi (or other inferior text editor of your choice) and commenting out the ::1 line.
That got it working. And Drupal is doing a pretty good job of aggregating RSS now. And it seems a hell of a lot faster, too.
Just have to get cron on Vista somehow now, and I'll be laughing!

Hmm.. new look for twitter? I hope it gets less "Ick! Change! Put it back!" nonsense than Facebook..
