I went to work on the bike, and I'm still alive to blog about it.

Because I've spent a week building up to it slowly, it was actually fairly anti-climatic. The only stretch I was worried about, on a dual carriageway where there was some traffic merging in from the left, I sat behind a skip lorry on the grounds that even the blindest of motorists wasn't going to miss seeing HIM.

Was quite a warm journey, with all the clobber on - today's very humid and unpleasant. Other than that, no problems. I definitely need to get more confident with cornering and a bit more reliable with the gears, but otherwise, all good.

I can finally book my poor old car in for a service now that I have an alternative way of getting to work :o)
